Congratulations to the 2007 TCCA Scholarship Recipients!

The Tri County Contractor’s Association (TCCA) is pleased to announce that Jennifer Geniesse from Kenosha – TCCA affiliate Riley Construction Company, Inc., and Matthew Cecchini from Racine – TCCA affiliate United Construction Corp., are the recipients of the fifth annual TCCA Scholarships.   Ms. Geniesse and Mr. Cecchini were presented with their $1000 awards at a TCCA membership meeting held April 19th, 2007.

This is the fifth year that the tri-county (Racine, Kenosha, Walworth) organization has awarded these scholarships.   Past recipients include Abby Knop, Camosy Inc. (2006), Daniel Frost, Bane- Nelson (2005), Nicholas Brown, Masonry Specialists II, LLC (2005), Dan Azarian, Azarian Wrecking (2004), Brian Nelson, Bane-Nelson (2003), Allison Watson, Martin Petersen Company (2003) and Danielle Ives, Martin Petersen Company (2003). Eligibility is initially based on membership in TCCA.   TCCA members and/or their dependents are invited to apply.   Senior high school students, or students currently enrolled in a program seeking an education in a construction-related field for the school year beginning in September 2007 qualified.   The Scholarship Committee considered scholastic standing, ACT/SAT scores, extra curricular activities, career goals, community service, references and essay submissions as part of their selection process.

Tri County Contractor’s Association scholarship program.

The Tri County Contractor’s Association will provide selected scholarship recipients with tuition funds for the 2008-2009 academic year.   Full-time and part-time students from all academic levels ­ including incoming freshmen, under-graduates and graduate students ­ who represent a variety of majors and career goals related to the construction industry are encouraged to apply.   Applicants will be judged on both academic and citizenship achievements ­ financial need will not be considered.   Final selections will be made by a scholarship committee that will determine the amount awarded to each recipient.   Applicants will be notified by mail of the final selection and the amount of their award.   Click on the image above for the 2008 - 2009 application.   GOOD LUCK!
